Release Of the Week: Longwave

Formed in the begining of the decade, New York's Longwave where one of the bands that better assimilated shoegaze and post-punk influences from previous years , giving their songs and extra melodic component and some eipc doses, something that reached the highest marks with their second albun, the excellent " The Strangest's Things". Six years have past from that release and three since " There Is a Fire" a record that didn't get half the praise of it's predecessor and ended his contract with RCA. "Secrets Are Sinister" is a surprising return, both for being unexpected and for finding the band pherhaps on his most creative moment, with really marvellous songs and epic guitar sounds, making for one of the strongest realeases of the year.
